Rocky Road Popcorn

This has proved a real hit with the children.   Making your own popcorn using popping corn is really very easy.

You will need 7 inch by 10 inch (18cm by 25cm) baking tray, greased.

Serves 6


75g Mortimer Dark Chocolate Powder

25g butter

75g of marshmallows

50g of popping corn


Cook the popping corn according to the manufacturer’s instructions and tip into a large mixing bowl.

Melt the butter in a saucepan over a low heat.

Add the chocolate powder and stir until melted.

Add the marshmallows and stir occasionally until the marshmallows have almost melted into the chocolate.

Pour the mixture over the popcorn and stir until the popcorn is coated with chocolate.

Tip into the greased baking tray and leave to go cold and set.

Cooks Tips

Use mini marshmallows and only part melt, if you prefer to have more marshmallow pieces in the popcorn.
