Chocolate Cheesecake

Chocolate cheesecake using natural cacao powder

A delicious, quick and easy to make chocolate cheesecake made using natural cacao powder or 70% chocolate powder.

100g biscuits

50g butter

200ml double cream

200g cream cheese

75g Mortimer Chocolate Cacao Powder or 100g Mortimer Chocolate 70% Ecuador Chocolate Powder


  1. Crush up the biscuits until they are all crumbs
  2. Melt the butter in the microwave and add this to the crushed biscuits, mix them together and then press this mixture into the bottom of a lined tin
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream cheese and double cream
  4. Whilst whisking, add the cacao powder and whisk until it forms a smooth mix, or melt the chocolate powder and whisk it in until smooth
  5. Put the cheesecake mixture on top of the biscuit base and refrigerate for at least 4 hours
  6. Melt some chocolate powder and drizzle over the cheesecake to finish
